Fresh off the heels of nabbing his first Golden Globe award after four nominations for his guest role in the drama The Last of Us, Offerman brings you his latest release! In fact, this is his fourth collaboration with Lagavulin and will be available come May. Spring needs to hurry the hell up.



The Making and History of a Collaboration

Nick Offerman's adoration for Lagavulin, showcased in the hit comedy series "Parks and Recreation," became a recurring theme throughout the show's seven seasons. Ron Swanson, Offerman's character, fervently declared Lagavulin 16 Year Old as his drink of choice, referring to it as the nectar of the gods. Lagavulin and its whisky played a prominent role, becoming an integral part of the series.

Acknowledging Offerman's genuine connection with Lagavulin, the distillery decided to pay homage to his devotion by launching the first Offerman Edition in 2019. This marked the inception of a distinctive partnership, resulting in Lagavulin releasing special editions that encapsulate Offerman's appreciation for the unique and robust flavors of their single malt.

Building on the success of the initial collaboration, Lagavulin introduced a second Offerman release in the spring of 2021. This 11-year-old expression, reminiscent of the first edition, underwent an additional four months of finishing in Guinness casks, adding a nuanced layer to the Lagavulin profile. In 2023, the collaboration continued with the release of the 11-Year Charred Oak—a single malt Scotch whisky aged in heavily charred ex-bourbon and ex-red wine casks. This expression, designed to complement any medium-rare steak, boasts hints of vanilla, red berries, sea salt brine, and Lagavulin's signature smoke, offering a unique and flavorful experience that harmonizes with the essence of a perfectly cooked steak.



And Now for the Fourth Release
