Aviation American Gin, a product of Portland, Oregon-based House Spirits Distillery, was launched in 2006. It was created by Christian Krogstad, one of the distillery's founders, along with bartender Ryan Magarian. The aim was to craft a contemporary gin that would appeal to a wide audience, departing from the traditional juniper-heavy London Dry style.

Aviation Gin quickly gained recognition for its unique flavor profile, which features botanicals like cardamom, lavender, and sarsaparilla, alongside the more traditional ingredients like juniper.
