Rooted in Tradition. Drawn from the Source.
Vago El Manantial Espadin Mezcal is a single-village, single-producer expression that captures the soul of Oaxacan mezcal at its most authentic. Produced by maestro mezcalero Aquilino García López in Candelaria Yegolé, this bottling takes its name — El Manantial, meaning "the spring" — from the natural water source that feeds the distillery and defines the terroir of every drop.
Made from 100% Espadin agave harvested at peak maturity, this mezcal is roasted in earthen pits, fermented with wild yeasts, and double-distilled in clay pots — a process unchanged for generations. The result is a mezcal of remarkable depth: smoky yet elegant, with layers of roasted agave, citrus zest, green herbs, and a long, mineral finish that speaks directly to the land it came from.
