A harmonious single malt with a warm character. Matured for a minimum of 12 years on The Macallan Estate in the heart of Speyside, The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old is revered as the classic example of The Macallan and the influence of sherry seasoned European oak casks.
Matured in predominantly sherry seasoned European oak casks, this exceptional single malt whisky has distinct tasting notes of ginger, dried fruits and spice.
On the nose, dried fruit, candied citrus peel and oak, with notes of ginger and nutmeg. On the palate, raisins and sultanas with ginger syrup giving way to sweet cinnamon spice and a hint of vanilla. The finish is long with oak and warming ginger.
