Crafted in the heart of California’s Napa Valley, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon embodies the perfect harmony of power and grace. Founded in 1970 by Warren Winiarski, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars became a legend after its Cabernet Sauvignon triumphed over top Bordeaux wines in the historic 1976 “Judgment of Paris” tasting—forever putting Napa on the world wine map.
Winemaking & Terroir
The Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterful blend of grapes sourced from Stag’s Leap’s own estate vineyards and select growers across Napa Valley. The region’s unique volcanic and alluvial soils lend structure and minerality, while Napa’s warm days and cool nights allow for balanced ripening. The wine is aged for around 15–18 months in a mix of French and American oak barrels, developing complexity and depth without overpowering the fruit.
