Rare Perfection 10 Year Old Vintage 2016 Single Barrel Bourbon Select is an exclusive private-barrel expression from Rare Perfection and Preservation Distillery. Distilled in 2016 and matured for a full 10 years in Kentucky. This barrel was selected specifically for Sip Whiskey and bottled at its natural 131.2 proof without dilution.

The broader Rare Perfection 10 Year Vintage 2016 release was created from mature Kentucky bourbon stocks originally considered for an earlier release but allowed to remain in barrel through additional Kentucky summers. Those extra years pushed the whiskey toward a darker, richer profile of caramelized sugar, mature oak, baking spice, leather, tobacco, and deep confectionary sweetness. Unlike the standard micro-batched Vintage 2016 release, this Sip Whiskey Select comes a single barrel giving it an individual profile that cannot be recreated once the barrel is gone.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Burnt brown butter, crème brûlée, brown sugar, charred oak, cinnamon, and dark confectionary sweetness.

• Palate: Rich caramel, spiced raisin, brown sugar crumble, baking spice, mature oak, and concentrated barrel sweetness.

• Finish: Long and warming with rye-like spice, charred oak, light leather, caramel, and lingering cask-strength heat.
