The 2026 release combines nine of these archived staves with one Seared French Cuvée stave, developing dark chocolate, buttery pastry, and baked apple notes around the distillery’s signature bourbon.
The Lost Recipe Series revisits wood-finishing possibilities from Maker’s Mark’s Private Selection archives. Edition 03 begins with Kentucky straight bourbon and receives additional finishing with 10 oak staves. Bottled at 110.2 proof, it offers a rich profile that can be explored neat or gradually adjusted with water.
