Australian Rye with Rich Malt Character
Archie Rose Straight Rye Malt Whisky pairs Australian rye malts with the richness of virgin American oak. Created in collaboration with co-owner Chris Hemsworth, this layered, aromatic whisky offers candied nuts, tropical fruit, and warming spice at 46% ABV.
Made using Australian Heritage, Vampire, and historic Bevy rye malts, it matures for at least three years in air-dried, charred virgin American oak casks in Sydney's maritime air. It is a distinctive choice for rye enthusiasts looking to explore an Australian malt-led expression.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Caramelised banana, crushed peanuts, honey-coated macadamia, candied ginger, and nutmeg.
- Palate: Maple syrup, fudge, candied almonds, and toasted brioche.
- Finish: Charred cinnamon, dried ginger, nougat, hazelnut butter, and roasted nutmeg.
