Bruichladdich 18 Year Old

$199.99

Shipping Late Feb!

Since reopening our distillery in 2001, our aim is to make the most though-provoking spirits possible. Following decades of commitment to our raw ingredients, pioneering terroir, authenticity, and championing an all Islay maturation, we have created The Bruichladdich Eighteen.

Full bodied and beautifully fragrant, honey, butterscotch and citrus orange come through on the palate, with a medley of tropical fruits and mellow oak.

This 18 year old single malt has matured exclusively on Islay in primarily Bourbon casks. A small number of Sauternes and Port casks are vetted with the Bourbon casks for nine months before bottling.

The Bruichladdich Wrap is the first of its kind in the whisky industry. Made from fully recyclable paper pulp and molded to the bottle shape, it is the definition of modern luxury - while using less. This reduced our CO2 - from creation to transportion.

Shipping fiasco

I understand that Sip Whiskey does not control UPS, but your shipping partner affected the value of my purchase to the point where I regret making the purchase at all. That's how I got to one star. I wouldn't do this again, and I am submitting the review for people to make their own choice whether to order online. Shipping for this bottle was $25, and of course it required a signature on delivery. I spent several work hours trying to hit the delivery window, but I missed the driver and two hours of work. So I tried to redirect the bottle to a UPS access point. UPS charges $7.99 for that "service.". I then chose to enroll in a year of UPS premium service for $20, allowing me to redirect whisky purchases at no affitional cost. To make a long story short, I ended up paying both the $20 and the $7.99 to receive the package, and UPS Customer service--although polite, professional, and responsive--would not help with either charge. So I spent $53 to ship a bottle domestically. It took 13 days from the time my card was charged to the time the bottle arrived. I live in the Midwest.
