The brand reemerged after prohibition and became the last standing Maryland Rye, as the rest of the industry's production had ceased. Really enjoyed this rye. A whopping 110 proof with little to no heat. Perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness. Great value at $50 too. Will buy again.

An excellent experience; I had lots of fun imbibing "Pikesville Rye" in Lew Bryson's version of the "Rye Presbyterian" (Rye and ginger ale, from the book "Tasting Whiskey"), during an evening of sorting vinyl records, while listening to "One Night Stand! Sam Cooke Live at The Harlem Square Club", over-and-over again!
