Clonakilty’s “Galley Head” expression is a premium blend, which includes Clonakilty’s
very own Single Pot Still Irish whiskey. This contributes a depth of flavor and complexity
to the whiskey, delivering a viscous mouthfeel with gentle spices on the palate, typical of
an Irish single pot still.
Named after the iconic Galley Head Lighthouse on the Southwest coast of Ireland, this
historical landmark overlooks their barley fields. Centuries of sea mist and ocean spray
add complexity to the soil, which permeates each individual grain, while the surrounding
coastal air imbues the casks with a distinct maritime flavor profile.
