The original letter, stored in the Buffalo Trace Distillery archives, shows handwritten notation from Blanton indicating the distillery owned Old Fashioned Mountain Corn. The claim “Made in the Heart of the Bluegrass” appears on many of their Prohibition whiskey brands from this time, highlighting the beauty of horse country and referencing a time before industrialized cities became the norm.
